Terms of Use

Founder Discovery Network (“FDN”) is operated by In Your Words Productions, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company based in Berkeley, California. FDN provides founder, company, accelerator, interview, Signal, Investigation, and related discovery and editorial experiences as available through the service. By accessing or using FDN, you agree to these Terms.

You are responsible for information supplied through your account, for using an account that belongs to you, and for maintaining appropriate control of your sign-in links and account access. You must notify FDN through an approved contact channel if you believe your account has been used without authorization.

Claiming a Founder Brief or participating in FDN can establish an authorized relationship to an existing FDN record. It does not transfer ownership of FDN's editorial presentation and does not guarantee publication, placement, promotion, coverage, membership, or continued inclusion.

You should provide only information and materials that you have the right to provide. You must not knowingly submit false, misleading, unlawful, confidential without authorization, or infringing material. Private submissions do not automatically become public.

Rights and permissions for interviews, recordings, clips, images, and related materials remain governed by the applicable interview agreement, release, license, or other arrangement. These Terms do not replace or expand those separate rights arrangements.

Participation is not pay-to-publish. Founders, companies, accelerators, partners, subscribers, and other participants may provide information or developments for review. FDN retains editorial authority over verification, classification, significance, publication, and placement. No payment, membership, partnership, sponsorship, submission, or participation guarantees publication, editorial or Signal coverage, placement, or a particular intelligence assessment.

Content intentionally published through FDN can be publicly accessible and may be viewed or linked to by others. Information provided through a private claim, account, contact, or review workflow is not made public solely because it was submitted.

FDN's product, design, software, taxonomy, original text, editorial presentation, and other FDN-owned materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Founders, companies, accelerators, and other rights holders retain their rights in their businesses, names, trademarks, and contributed materials. Display on FDN does not transfer those underlying rights to FDN except as provided in an applicable agreement or permission.

You may not use FDN unlawfully; interfere with or disrupt the service; attempt unauthorized access; use malicious or abusive automation; impersonate another person or organization; submit information you know is false; or infringe the rights of others.

FDN may link to or rely on third-party services. Their services, content, availability, and privacy practices are governed by their own terms. FDN is not responsible for third-party services it does not control.

FDN may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service and does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. FDN applies human and editorial review appropriate to its processes, but founders, companies, sources, and circumstances can change, and no review process eliminates every error. FDN is provided for discovery and informational purposes and is not investment, legal, accounting, or financial advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FDN and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

FDN may evolve the service and update these Terms. The effective date identifies the current version. FDN may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risk, legal requirements, or material violation of these Terms.
